M&M Cookies

1 1/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
3/4 cup Butter Flavor Crisco
2 Tbl. milk
1 Tbl. vanilla
1 egg
1 3/4 cup flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
2 cups M&Ms or other red and green candy-coated chocolate

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place sheets of foil on countertop for cooling cookies.

Mix together in a large bowl the brown sugar, Crisco, milk, and vanilla. Beat at medium speed until well blended. Add egg, beat well.

Combine flour, salt, and baking soda. Add to the bowl and beat at low speed just until blended. Stir in candy.

Drop dough by rounded measuring tablespoonfuls 3" apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake one sheet at a time for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet then remove to foil to cool completely.

Makes 3 dozen.
