Barbecued Country-Style Ribs

3 1/2 lb. country style ribs
2 Tbl. oil
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 onion, sliced
1 cup ketchup
1 cup water
2 Tbl. brown sugar
3 Tbl. Worcestershire
2 Tbl. vinegar
2 Tbl. prepared mustard
2 Tbl. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. garlic salt

Brown ribs in oil in skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Place in 13" by 9" glass baking dish, reserving 2 teaspoons pan drippings.

Sauté onion in reserved pan drippings in skillet until tender. Add ketchup, water, brown sugar, Worcestershire, vinegar, mustard, lemon juice, and garlic salt; mix well. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring frequently.

Pour sauce over ribs. Bake (uncovered) in preheated 350 degrees F. oven 45 minutes or until done.

Serves 5.
