My Brownie Troop made
Chocolate Chip Cookies in a Jar to give as Christmas presents. Since I was working with a group of girls and our time was limited, I pre-measured all of the ingredients except for the chocolate chips. I put the pre-measured ingredients into zippered plastic bags and labeled each (flour, baking soda, and salt in one, brown sugar in one, sugar in the third bag.) Once they layered each of these, we topped off the jars with chocolate chips (making sure to spill a few so that they could eat them!)
Christmas Cookie List Part I:
There are two kinds of cookies that I make every year. The main reason is that my family and I like both. A bonus reason is that one recipe calls for two egg yolks and the other calls for two egg whites.
Childhood Thumbprint Cookies - thumbprint cookies filled with chocolate fudge.
Forgotten Cookies - crispy meringue with chocolate chips. I save this one for the end of one cooking day since it needs to sit in the oven overnight.
I'm going to make
Chocolate Chip Cookies - I got some of the
Nestle's Chocolate Chips with holiday shapes.
